I currently serve on staff at Wake Forest Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC as the Pastor of Spiritual Formation & Mission (previously the Minister of Spiritual Formation & Administration). Before coming to WFBC in August, 2020, I was on staff at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, TX as a Pastoral Resident. Prior to my residency at Wilshire, I served as Minister of Missions and Students at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Furman University in Greenville, SC and a Master of Divinity degree from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta, GA. I was ordained in 2014 at Parkway Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA, where I served as Minister to Youth and Young Adults. I have also served in ministry at Metro Baptist Church in New York, NY and Action Ministries in Atlanta, GA. One of the most profound experiences of my life was the year I spent as a missionary in Cape Town, South Africa. My wife, Mia, and I were married in 2014. We have three amazing kids – Bates, Elsie, and Ben – and two lovable dogs, Linus and Charlie (Brown).
